Design Process

Each services has a similar yet different design process. Select the service you're interested in below to learn more!

  • Meetings

    Before the Build/Design Process - We will meet via Zoom to:

    • Learn about you and your business

    • Go through websites for inspiration on functionality, layout, imagery, and aesthetic

    • Review your brand identity or brand guidelines if you have one

    • Pay your deposit

    • After this meeting I will send you a contract for you to sign on the Contract Page. After this is signed, I will begin the design process.

    During the Build/Design Process - We talk via phone and/or Zoom to go over concepts, ideas, and revisions as needed.

    After the Build/Design Process - We will meet via Zoom to:

    • Create your EditorX account and transfer the site to your account

      • You will purchase your EditorX plan, a domain, and a privacy protection​

    • Go through your website and show you how to update it

    • Connect your domain

    • Publish your website

    • Pay your remaining balance

    Design Process

    Step 1 - You provide the content for the website.

    • Document with copy for each page​

    • Google Drive folder with imagery

    • Branding elements (logo, color palette, fonts, graphic elements)

    Step 2 - I comb through your content and suggest any revisions based on user experience and design.

    Step 3 - I create one page of the website and share it with you for feedback on the overall look and feel.

    Step 4 - I create the rest of the pages and share them with you as they are made for your review, making revisions as needed.

    Step 5 - We transfer your domain to the site or I help you purchase and connect a new domain to the site.

    Step 6 - We publish the site!

    • After a week has gone by, we will connect again and make sure everything is running smoothly. If all is well, the website is handed off to you, and you will be responsible for any updates or maintenance. With all my clients, I love to stay in touch! If you ever have any questions or concerns, you can always reach out and I will provide support the best I can. If you would like new pages made or features added, I am also more than happy to do those for you for additional pricing.

    Website Building Platform

    EditorX - Recommended

    • Easy maintenance - Text and image updates primary get done through a spreadsheet so new website owners don't have to touch the design editor if they don't want to.

      • For owners who want more involvement, such as changing the color of a button or adding an element to a page, I will provide an overview on how to do this as well as links to resources to help you out.

    • Design flexibility - I am able to a have a lot of design freedom to make your website how you envision it

    • Several pre-added features - You can have a blog, store, bookings, events, member pages, etc. with this system (no plugins needed - functionality does vary on your EditorX plan).

    • Simplified transferring - Once the website is complete, I can simply transfer it from my EditorX account to yours, and have functionality to update it on my end for future requests without needing to log into your account.

    • Pricing upfront - In addition to my design services, you will have to pay for an EditorX plan and your domain if you don't have one with privacy protection.

    Wordpress (Avada Theme)

    • Advanced maintenance - If you or a webmaster are familiar with Wordpress, then this may be the system for you. You will have to get your hands dirty in the design editor to make updates to your site.

    • Design flexibility - I am able to a have a lot of design freedom to make your website how you envision it.

    • Features added through plugins and theme (Avada) - Instead of pre-added features, I will add plugins and the Avada theme to meet the functionality you'd like for the site. This can be great for owners who want specific plugins on their site. Please take into consideration that many plugins are not free, so there will be additional costs along the way.

    • Account required to build - A Wordpress account must be made in order to build the website, and you will have to provide the sign-on information for me to access the site.

    • Pricing upfront and along the way - In addition to my design services, you will have to pay for a Wordpress account, your domain if you don't have one with privacy protection, the Avada theme, and any plugins along the way.

    • Go through color palettes and fonts for inspiration on mood and representation

    • Pay your deposit

    • After this meeting I will send you a contract for you to sign on the Contract Page. After this is signed, I will begin the design process.

    During the Design Process - We talk via phone and/or Zoom to go over concepts, ideas, and revisions as needed.

    After the Design Process - We will meet via Zoom to:

    • Go over your new logo and brand​

    • Answer any remaining questions

    • Pay your remaining balance

    Design Process

    Round 1 - I design 2 logos for you to review based on our "before" meeting. Each logo will vary in imagery, typography, and color palette for you to mix, match, and compare. You will select 2 logos that you like and provide feedback on them.

    Round 2 - I make revisions and finalize 1 logo. I send a .ZIP file to you with the deliverables. (If needed, one more round of revisions will be provided.)

    Deliverables

    ​Variations of Your Logo - .PNG & .AI files will be provided and additional file types can be added upon request.

    • Color, black, and white

    • Horizontal and vertical

    • Submark with name and submark alone​

    Style Guide - This is a .PDF document of your brand.

    • Color palette with hex codes

    • Fonts/Typographic Hierarchy

    • 2 product mockups using your brand

    Design Process

    Round 1 - I will create 2 versions of the selected marketing material.

    Round 2 - You pick which marketing material you like the best and provide any additional feedback.

    Round 3 - I make any final revisions on the marketing material and send a .ZIP file to you with the deliverables.

    • Business Card - .PDF, .PNG, .AI

    • Slide Deck - Shared Google Slide

    • Flyer - .PDF & .AI, Shared Google Doc/Slide, or Canva Document

    • Social Posts - .PNG & .AI, .Shared Google Slide, or Canva Document

    • Signage - .PDF, .PNG, .AI

  • Discussion

    Before the Shoot - We will chat via phone to:

    • Learn about you or your business

    • Share examples for inspiration on style, poses, and aesthetic

    • Decide on a location, date, and time

    During the Shoot - We will meet up at the designated location, take the photos, and you will pay the full amount there before we leave.

    After the Design Process - I will send the photos to you via email.

    Editing Process

    Round 1 - I will edit 2 photographs and send them to you for approval on style and aesthetic.

    Round 2 - I will edit the rest of the photographs based on your feedback.

    Deliverables

    ​A .ZIP file of .JPEG photos sent via email.
